1. PCR testing and cycle thresholds#

RT-PCR detects viral genetic material; the dispute is what a high cycle-threshold result means clinically. The CDC's July 2021 lab alert (retiring one RT-PCR test in favour of multiplexed assays) anchors one side of that record; court and regulator documents from Portugal and elsewhere anchor the other. 2. Vaccine approval and adverse-event reporting#
